She was previously one of the owners of Danny Herman Trucking, Inc that was started in 1964 by her parents and bought by her and her brother Joe in 1999. Kristy left DHT in 2006 to start her own business, concentrating more on refrigerated transportation versus dry vans. Her background includes all areas of truckload business. For that last 15 years at DHT she was VP of Safety. While at DHT, as the VP of Safety, DHT won several safety awards through Tennessee Trucking Association’s Grand Champion Fleet Safety award for five consecutive years. Others include ATA and Truckload Carriers Association, to name a few.
